Our wood comes from non-forest sources. It’s wood that is no longer needed in its current capacity. We divert it from the landfill and put it to use again.
All of our wood is considered reclaimed. You’ve heard the term before. Perhaps even an image comes to mind. Rustic, brown, rough, and hearty. But there are many types of reclaimed wood. Some are light and white, and without a nail hole in it. Others are red and buttery, with a touch like silk. Any wood that is reused, is reclaimed. Reclaimed is an action, not a style.
And because it’s an action, it’s also a choice. We choose reclaimed in the same way we choose recycled paper towels, or choose organic. We do so because we are nurturing the world we want. Buy organic because pesticides kill bees. Buy reclaimed wood because logging kills trees.
Our current selection of reclaimed wood consists of Douglas-fir, redwood, white oak, cherry and mahogany. Our products have a natural look. They glow. They speak. They’ve got good vibes!
